The youngest of five children, Andrew Newell Wyeth was born on Jin Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania in the Brandywine Valley near Philadelphia. The paintings of Andrew Wyeth have been etched in the American national consciousness for more than a half a century. Photo by Michael Stewart for the National Endowment for the Arts Bio
